Meet The Team

Mark Roberson

Founder and CEO. Dr. Roberson founded GSTA in 2015. He received his PhD in Physics from Princeton University. Beginning in 1997, Dr.  Roberson has led teams at different companies in multiple sensor technologies.

Kate Frohman

Assistant Project Manager. Kate assists in project management, proposal writing & editing, communications and technical writing. Kate received her BA from Syracuse University in Public Relations & Policy Studies.

Joe White

Joe works to generate realtime C/C++ code for embedded and support processors. In addition, Joe does circuit design and RF measurements. Joe received both his BSEE and MSEE from NC State University.

Eric Wagner

Electrical Engineer.

Eric is the senior engineer for GSTA, providing consulting engineering and research and development of advanced micro-controller, sensor hardware and software development. Eric received his BS Electrical Engineering, State University of NY at Buffalo.

Muriel Roberson

Proposal Editor and Administrative Assistant. Muriel has her BS in Mathematics from Wake Forest University, and MS in Mathematics from UVA, and an M.Div from Drew University.

Sally Hammer

Proposal Editor and Research Assistant. Sally is currently pursuing her undergraduate dual degree in Political Science and Environmental Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Brian Alonso

Mechanical Engineering Intern. Brian's primary role is to design and fabricate mechanical parts for GSTA's projects. Additionally, Brian develops software to process and analyze data. Brian is currently pursuing his BS in Aerospace Engineering from NC State University.

William Arana

Mechanical Engineering Intern. William helps to build prototypes of products in development. William is currently pursuing his BS in biomedical engineering from UNC CH.

Grant Robertson

Mechanical Engineering Intern. Grant designs, fabricates, and tests GSTA's prototype sensor bodies. Grant is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at NC State University. 

Rusty Robertson

Mechanical Engineering Intern. Rusty designs and builds sensor housing prototypes utilizing fabrication techniques such as machining, welding, and 3-D printing. Rusty is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at NC State University.
